Quick Ship

Quoting one order is easy. Getting the day out the door is the job.

Quick Ship is the bulk console. Every order that has to go today sits in its own row — collection date, quote, ship, manifest, and the delivery options that particular order needs. You work down a list instead of in and out of one order at a time.

Ship stays locked until that order has been quoted.

A Monday with forty orders on it is the same three passes down the list as a Monday with four.

One order at a time

Open the order. Quote it. Book it. Back out. Open the next one. None of it is hard work — the repetition is what eats the morning, and it gets worse on the days you can least afford it.

Every order wants something different

This one’s going to a depot. That one’s residential and needs a tailgate. The next customer has said leave it at the door. When those aren’t proper options, they become notes someone has to remember.

The bit after the booking

Marking the order fulfilled. Finding the tracking number and pasting it in. Telling the customer. Done by hand, per order, usually at the end of a long day.

How Quick Ship worksThree passes down the same list, and the day is dispatched.

01

The day arrives as rows

Every order that needs shipping is one row. Set its collection date on the row. Turn on the delivery options that order actually needs — depot collection, authority to leave, residential, tailgate, hand unload — without opening anything.

02

Quote, then ship

Quote the row and the rates come back in place. Ship only unlocks once that order has been quoted, so nothing gets booked at a price nobody has looked at. Orders that are ready to go the whole way can be shipped and manifested in the same click.

03

Manifest the batch, and let the store catch up

Select the orders that are ready and manifest them together. Printing the manifest books the carrier pickup. From there the app marks each order fulfilled in your store, writes the tracking number back as a link the customer can click, and sends the notification.

Built for paceThe details that make it work at pace.

StagedThe buttons are staged on purpose
Ship stays locked until that order has been quoted. It’s a small thing, and it stops the expensive version of a fast morning — freight booked at a price you never saw.
DateCollection date sits on the row
Not everything goes on the same truck on the same day. The date belongs to the order, while your standing pickup window is set once in your account settings and left alone.
OptionsDelivery options are toggles, not notes
Depot, authority to leave, residential, tailgate and hand unload are switches on the order. What you tick is what gets quoted, and what gets quoted is what gets booked.
DocumentsThe paperwork lands back on the order
Labels, connotes and manifests can be saved into your Shopify Files and linked against the order they belong to — so when someone goes looking for a connote, it’s with the order rather than in a downloads folder.

QueuesYou always know what’s outstanding.

Quick Ship gets orders moving. The queues tell you where everything sits at a glance.

Queue What’s in it
New Orders Everything that has come in and hasn’t been shipped yet
Ready to Ship Labels generated, carrier not yet manifestedThe pile to close out before pickup
Manifested The record after pickup is bookedCarrier, service, shipping charge and dates

When a customer rings about something you sent last week, it’s in the manifested queue with the carrier and service it went on.

Your accountsYour carrier accounts, one screen.

Quick Ship runs on the carrier and broker accounts you already hold. Nothing here asks you to move your freight.

Stores connect accounts including National Freight Management, MachShip, KIS/Iconsignit, Allied Express, Direct Freight, BigPost and Australia Post. If yours isn’t on that list, custom carrier integration is available and new connections get added on request.

What each carrier hands back differs, and the app knows the difference. Some return labels, connotes and manifests; some return labels only; BigPost bookings deep-link into the BigPost portal rather than producing documents in the app. Worth checking yours on a call before you change how you dispatch.

Who this is forStores that dispatch in stacks, not singles.

Stores with a dispatch bench

If someone in your business spends the first part of the day getting orders out, this is their screen. Volume is what makes the difference — a single order is a couple of clicks either way.

Heavy, bulky and palletised freight

Bulky orders carry more decisions each: depot or door, forklift or tailgate, whether anyone is home. That’s exactly the load Quick Ship puts on one row instead of in someone’s head.

Do I have to quote every order separately?

You quote on the row, without leaving the list, and quoting is what unlocks shipping for that order. The bulk actions come in at the end — select the orders that are ready and manifest them together.

What happens in my store after I manifest?

Printing the manifest books the carrier pickup. The app then marks the order fulfilled in your store, writes the tracking number back as a clickable link, and notifies the customer. You don’t go back into the order to finish it off.

Can I ship without opening the app at all?

Yes. Fare Freight adds actions to Shopify’s own order page, so you can quote, create a consignment, manifest, print a slip and raise a return from inside the order you’re already looking at — and if the order is split across fulfilments, you choose which one you’re shipping. Quick Ship is for the days you have a stack; the order page is for the one-off.

What if an order needs a different collection date?

Set it on that order’s row. The date belongs to the order, so a Friday pickup and a Monday pickup can sit in the same list. Your standing pickup window stays where it is in account settings.
