Step-by-Step Instructions for Creating consignment using Fare Freight In Shopify #
Step 1: Login to Shopify
Access your Shopify account and navigate to the Fare Freight app.
Step 2: View New Orders
All new orders can be found under the “New Orders” tab.
Step 3: Fulfilling an Order
- Click “Fulfill” next to the order you want to process.
- Customer details, product quantities, and dimensions will already be filled in.
- Review and update any details if needed. For example, you can adjust product dimensions, quantity, or weight if you plan to ship all items in a single package or pallet instead of multiple labels.
- Select a pickup date and click “Get Quote.”
Step 4: Verify annd Confirm
- The app will automatically select the most cost-effective shipping option.
- Verify all details, then click “Generate Labels.”
Step 5: Prepare for Shipping
- Go to the “Ready to Ship” tab.
- Select the order, then print the label and manifest. This step also notifies the carrier for pickup.
- After creating the manifest, the app will automatically:
- Mark the order as fulfilled in Shopify.
- Update the tracking number with a clickable link.
- Notify the customer with shipping details.
Booking Variations #
Depot Collection
- If the customer chooses depot collection, Note the customer choice under Method
- update the street address lines as follows:
- Street Address Line 1: Depot Collection by Customer
- Street Address Line 2: Depot Collection by Customer
- Generate the label and manifest as usual.
Business Address
- Confirm that the provided address is a business address.
- Proceed with the normal steps to generate labels and manifest.
Residential Address
- If the address is marked as residential.
- Mark it as residential delivery, Also make sure to select “Lift Gate Delivery” For bulky items.
Special Cases and Notes
NFM Orders
- NFM currently does not support printing manifests directly from the app.
- To print manifests, go to the NFM portal. You can view all bookings and print the manifest and consignment note directly from there.
Editing or Deleting Labels Before Manifesting
- If you need to modify or delete a label before manifesting, you can do so from the NFM portal. Click on Consignments then Maintain.
